I am a senior level user experience and design professional who has taken a lead role in launching several multimillion dollar, consumer facing, websites for both the private sector and large government agencies. In addition to the work I’ve done for Highmark BCSB as part of the Innovation Center, I also recently did the IA, UX, and visual design work for the redesign of the United States Small Business Administrations website, creating dynamic portals for small business owners and streamlining the content of a website with over 20,000 unique pages of information.

I started in print-based media, working for Highmark BCBS and Carnegie Mellon University, but after moving to Washington, DC and attaining a senior position within the United States Postal Service design department, I transitioned to a user-centered design role which included heuristic evaluation, wireframing, usability testing and visual design for the redesign of the Postal Service’s Online Portal. This store saw a 30% increase in conversion after the redesign and remains one of the top 20 highest trafficked eMarketing stores in the United States. Additionally, according to Alexa, the Postal Service website remains in the top 100 most trafficked sites in the United States.

Soon after completion of the site, I was invited by Revolution Health to work in an entirely UX focused department, creating interactive design and applications for the medical field and general website.

Upon leaving Revolution Health, I moved back to an agency environment as the lead UX and visual designer for the Push Group, designing sites and applications for the Merrill Corporation, the Liberian Corporate Registry, and the afore mentioned Small Business Administration. Eventually, I moved back to Pittsburgh and joined the Celerity Innovation Center as one of its early members.
